1. If a character's season 3 death was foreshadowed in basically all her appearances, back to her very first one in season 1, it cannot, by definition, be a death 'for shock value'.

2. If you're shocked by her death because you weren't paying attention to any of the foreshadowing that's a you problem for either being dumb or being too attached to the show you made up in your head.
